Photographs of ibogaine HCl crystals were taken using an AxioCam HRc digital camera. Input was provided via a AxioImager Z1 microscope. Both are products of Carl Zeiss Vision/Optics, Germany. The filters used were primarily UV (excitation 365nm), and blue (exc. 450-490 nm). UV filters provide predominantly blue colors, while blue filters light up the green spectrum. Several pictures are taken in normal light. The designation "ef" in the file name indicates: Extended Focus. An extended focus image is formed by taking a Z-series stack of images and adding each corresponding pixel of the X-Y plane in the Z-direction. Photographs of ibogaine crystals were taken with the help of Aleš Kladnik, biologist at the University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Biology. |
